AFC Blackpool v AFC Liverpool - Match Preview

AFC Liverpool take a trip to the seaside this coming Saturday when they take on AFC Blackpool.
Both sides are level on points, with AFC Blackpool having risen up the table in recent weeks. Their first five games of the year saw five victories, all achieved without conceding a goal. The hosts’ latest result though, saw them lose 2-1 at Oldham Boro.
In that winning sequence, AFC Blackpool’s Marc Beattie scored two hat-tricks in consecutive games. The first came against Cheadle Town in the 4-0 win and then the following week he grabbed another in the 5-0 demolition of Daisy Hill.
AFC Liverpool’s last game was the 3-3 draw at Irlam, which saw the Reds put an end to a four game losing streak. Having gone off the boil in recent weeks, a victory for the Reds is vital for them to keep in with shout of promotion.
Reds fans have good memories of their only trip to the Mechanics Ground, having witnessed a 6-3 win in the league there last season. It also proved to be a happy hunting ground for Dean Thurston and Andy McCoy, who both scored, with Deano grabbing a brace.
