AFC Liverpool maintained their leadership position in the Vodkat Division One with a convincing 4-0 victory over Daisy Hill.

The Reds top goalscorer Dean Thurston was replaced within minutes of the kick off after a bad tackle, to be replaced by Martin Smeaton.

Winger Andy McCoy opened the scoring for AFC Liverpool on ten minutes after a fine piece of interplay down the Reds right.

Ten minutes later, the Merseysiders had extended their lead once more through Ian Sheridan.

Mark Westworth put the ball into his own net for AFC Liverpool’s third on the half hour mark.

McCoy grabbed his second to make it 4-0 just before half time.

The second half was goalless but not uneventful.

AFC Liverpool continued to pepper the Daisy Hill goal, yet failed to take their chances in the second half. The closest was Ian Sheridan’s volley against the bar.

Steve Obertelli was sent off for Daisy Hill for a second bookable offence, but the scoreline remained the same for a comfortable AFC Liverpool win.
