AFC Liverpool v Irlam - Match Preview

After last week’s disappointing result, AFC Liverpool will be looking for a positive outcome when they take on Irlam at Valerie Park this coming Saturday.
The Reds should be boosted by the midweek friendly victory over a Liverpool Country Premier League representative XI.

To score five without reply against a strong side can only be a positive for the team and with reports of an exciting new striking partnership being formed, Reds fans can be optimistic for the visit of Irlam.
The visitors are, like the Reds, in their second season in the Vodkat North West Counties First Division, having come up from the Manchester League. Last season saw Irlam finish in a creditable 8th in the table, and they took all 3 points from Valerie Park with a 2-0 win, with AFC Liverpool having previously won the reverse fixture 3-0.
This season Irlam have once again made a strong start and currently lie in fifth place, level on points with the Reds, though they have played three games more.
With both teams averaging more than two goals per game, this promises to be an exciting fixture, so come down to Valerie Park to catch all the action.
