Andy Olsen: Scorer of the 2000th Goal?

Was Andy Olsen’s header against Leek CSOB the 2000th Vodkat League goal to be scored this season?

In bringing the Reds level Andy Olsen is one of three players who can lay claim to having scored the 2000th goal of the 2009/10 season in both the Vodkat Premier and First Divisions.

From the Vodkat League website:

The 2000th league goal of the season was scored - but three players can lay claim to it.  League statistician Paul Cowburn calculated that the 34th league goal of the day would be the one that hit the 2000 landmark, but we are unable to determine exactly which goal that was.

Three goals were all scored in the 62nd minute of their respective games, all of which could be the 2000th of the league season, but as no one can be sure to the exact second when each goal hit the back of the net, we have to declare a tie between the following three goals:

Martin Cosgrave (for Bacup Borough against Congleton Town)

Chris Boast (for Newcastle Town against Silsden)

Andy Olsen (for AFC Liverpool against Leek CSOB)
