Goulding’s thoughts on the weekend’s game

Derek Goulding recently took time out to talk about this weekend’s cup fixture away to Rochdale, with some exciting news regarding some new faces in the team.

“The recent disruption off the field appears to have crept on it recently with our very dissapointing results of late. Saturday’s cup game will hopefully give us a chance to take stock of our recent performances, get back to basics and start winning again.  We’ve been busy trying to freshen the squad up  this week and will have three new additions on Saturday.
Jack Baker, 19, a young 6ft 2″ Goalkeeper who has played for Crewe and Burnley.
Brad Warburton, 24, a midfielder/striker who was at Tranmere as a youngster and has currently been at South Liverpool.
Steven Corris, 20, a midfielder/defender who played at Crewe and Tranmere when he was younger.
These lads, as well as the emerging players form the reserves, will serve the club well this season and for seasons to come.  The disruptions off the field does seem to have affected the atmosphere at the games lately and I would like to  make a plea from myself and the players to all our supporters who attend the games and especially those going to Rochdale on Saturday: Get together and be loud and proud, it gives us all a lift.”
