Message from Derek Goulding

I would like to thank everyone who braved the conditions last week and turned up at Rochdale, to support the players.
The atmosphere was fantastic again and I felt it made a difference to the players, who put in a determined display to get the result. The support they get from the fans has a massive input to their performances, so hopefully now we can all push on to make this a successful first season for the club.
It was good to introduce a few fresh faces last week to boost the squad, I feel all of the 3 new players last week played a big part and hopefully will continue to do so until the end of the season.
Unfortunately this week Terry Mc Cormick decided to call time on his spell at the club. I would like to thank Terry for his input this season and wish him all the best for the future. Another new addition to the squad this week will be Liam Coyne, a 6ft 3″ centre half, aged 21 who has played at Conference and Uni-Bond level. A player who will certainly give us a little bit more physical presence as a team and another welcome addition to the squad.
On the injury front Dean Thurston had a minor set back a couple of weeks ago but hopefully should be back soon. Paul Willis is progressing well. Ndiwa Kangana is still struggling with the injury he picked up against Stone, whilst Dave Eaton injured his groin in training and could be a doubt for the weekend and Ian Johnson is suspended.
Hope to see and hear you all Saturday at Wigan were we can hopefully carry on from last week.
All the best
