Paul Moore accepts the role as First Team Manager

AFC Liverpool Chairman Chris Stirrup is pleased to announce that following a meeting between the Paul Moore and the AFC Liverpool Board, Paul Moore will be taking the First Team Managers role on a permanent basis.

This follows an impressive spell as caretaker manager for the last 9 games of the season, which saw 1 draw and 7 victories including lifting the Vodkat Trophy.

Chairman Chris Stirrup said ‘We feel that this is a great step forward for our young, affordable, football club. Paul’s arrival has given the players and the fans a massive boost, reflected in the performances from the team of late.’

The decision was made easy for the board by the recent performances and Paul’s plans to push the club on next season.

‘His plans to help push on our club and continue to provide affordable football to those priced out of the top flight, go hand in hand in what we are aiming for so it was one of the easiest decisions we have made as a board since the club began’ added Chris.

Speaking about his appointment Paul Moore said ‘Its an honour to be given this job. The players at the club are a great set of lads and they are all working for each other now. I’ll be working hard over the summer to ensure that come August, we are ready and raring to go and my objective for next season now is to get us into the premier division and get the club going in the right direction’
