Reds boss in Positive Mood

Following an extremely turbulent week off the pitch, AFC Liverpool travel back to Staffordshire tomorrow to resume their league programme against mid table Stone Dominoes.

Whilst AFC are top of the league this will be a tricky encounter for the reds as Stone come into this game off the back of a good win against Bootle.

Despite the headlines off the pitch, Reds manager Derek Goulding is in positive mood

He said “With almost a third of the season behind us we need to ensure we maintain our good form on the pitch as Stone are a strong team.”

Despite an unfortunate spate of injuries to key players the Reds have maintained their position at the top of the league,

Goulding said : “We are going through a difficult patch with injuries, however the new lads that have come into the team over recent weeks have performed extremely well”

“Whilst we are still without some of our key players, both Martin Smeaton and James Chandler should be in contention for tomorrows game.”

“Stone will be full of confidence after their recent win, its important that the team focus on the game to ensure we perform at our best.”
