Manager Profile

1st Team Manager - Paul Moore

Paul was appointed AFC Liverpool manager on a permanent basis in May 2010 after taking over from Derek Goulding in April 2010. Paul guided AFC Liverpool to 7 victories from his 9 games in charge including the semi final and final of the Vodkat Trophy, making AFC Liverpool the first team in the competitions’ history to both retain the Trophy and win it for a second time.

Paul spent his playing career as a goalkeeper, most notably, playing for Worcester City and Southport.

1st Team Assistant Manager - Paul Walsh

Paul spent most of last season as the assistant manager of Ashton Town. He came to AFC Liverpool and took charge of the game, away to Leek CSOB, which heralded a last minute winner giving us a 2-1 victory.

Previous to his time at Ashton Town, Paul coached in Canada, coaching from youth teams up to CPSL level.

Reserve Team Manager - John Fletcher

John may be familiar to AFC fans, as John was the St Helens Town manager for our very first game, which finished 1-1. John managed St Helens town between 2006 and 2009.
He also ran Burscoughs’ Under 18’s, in which they had, under Johns stewardship, the best success for a non-league side in the FA Youth Cup.

John currently is also at Accrington Stanleys centre of excellence and has been since 2008.

Reserve Team Assistant Manager - Brian Kettle

Brian needs next to no introduction. He was the captian of Liverpool Reserves and still holds the apperance record for the reserves, after signing for the reds in 1973. He later went on to have a successful career as a manager in charge of Stalybridge Celtic, Rhyl and most memorably, Southport, guiding them to promotion to the Conference from the Northern Premier League.
